Research

My scholarship focuses on issues that cross online education and interpersonal communication. I am particularly interested in the relationships that are created within distance learning classrooms (both students - instructor and student - student contexts), as well as the effects that computer-mediated environments and anonymity have on the communication that happens within the online classroom.
